MISHAWAKA – Modern Machine Shop recently recognized Complexus Medical, located at 55980 Russell Industrial Parkway in Mishawaka, as a “Top Shop.” The recognition came from a nationwide benchmarking survey among more than 400 participating businesses.
The company ranked the highest in the human resources category and was named as one of the year’s four “Top Shop Honors Program” winners.
David Behrens, president of Complexus, received the award at The International Manufacturing Technical Show at McCormick Place in Chicago, described as “one of the top trade shows in the industry, with more than 100,000 visitors” and 1,900 exhibitors.
Complexus, established 40 years prior and acquired by Behrens in 1990, specializes in contract manufacturing for orthopedic companies, focusing on complex instruments and implants for joint replacement procedures. The organization recently completed a 15,000 square-foot expansion that doubled manufacturing capacity and represented over $3 million in capital investment.
The company underwent rebranding including new name, logo, marketing strategy, and website. It was designated as one of Indiana’s “Companies to Watch” in 2013.
